- Volunteer Stewardship Workday -

Sunday, June 3, 2018

P.J. Hoffmaster State Park, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Volunteer stewards will search the dunes along the popular and beautiful Homestead Trail with Volunteer Steward Beth W.!  Pulling garlic mustard is like weeding and is an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon in the woods.  We will be working off trail so plan to wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves are recommended.  Degree of difficulty:  Moderate to strenuous.

Meet in the parking area in front of the Gillette Nature Center near the Homestead Trailhead.  Please arrive on time as we will be hiking to the work location.  Map:  43.121436, -86.265354.

Want to learn more? The DNR volunteer calendar (which includes event listings with workday details) is available on the DNR volunteer stewardship page.
