Michigan Department of Natural Resources Outdoor Skills Academy will offer a
spring turkey hunting clinic at Waterloo Recreation Area’s Eddy Discovery Center in Chelsea Saturday, March 31, from 11 a.m. to 3
p.m.
Spring turkey
season is a favorite around Waterloo Recreation Area. Join DNR Conservation
Officer Dan Prince for a broad look at the basics of hunter safety, shotgun
patterning, tactics and calling. Prince also will cover decoys, blinds and
other tricks of a successful hunt. Waterloo staff members will share insider
information on turkey habitat in the park and help participants map out a
successful hunt.
Cost is $20,
which includes lunch.
Register online for the spring turkey hunting clinic. Registration is required by March 23. Cancellations must be made by March 26 in order to guarantee a full refund.

The Eddy Discovery Center is located inside Waterloo Recreation Area at 17030 Bush Road in Chelsea. A Recreation Passport is required for entry into the recreation area and the Saginaw River Boat Launch.
