Carp Tank and Summit

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is excited to invite you to attend the Great Lakes Invasive Carp Challenge "Carp Tank and Summit" happening on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 27 and 28, at the Detroit Wayne County Port Authority in Detroit, Michigan.

UPDATE: Hotel Rates have been extended through March 14th. Check below for more details!

Background:

In January 2017, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder announced the Great Lakes Invasive Carp Challenge, a $1 million global search for innovative solutions to keep invasive silver and bighead carp from entering the Great Lakes.

Between August 1 and October 31, 2017, over 350 entries from 27 countries were received through InnoCentive’s global crowdsourcing portal.

The most promising entries were selected by a panel of expert judges, and these semi-finalists will be presenting their solutions before a live audience and panel of celebrity judges at the Great Lakes Invasive Carp Challenge Carp Tank.
