East Tawas State Harbor adds 54 new slips and modern amenities

East Tawas State Harbor

As part of the first phase of the $2.6 million East Tawas State Harbor reconstruction project, boaters can access modern amenities, safety features and a better connection to the local community.

The project helps the harbor respond to current trends in Great Lakes boating. The harbor now features many enhancements, including new docks, a greater variety of slip sizes, features compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines, new electric pedestals and improvements to the pump-out system. In addition, connection to the downtown area -- which is popular with boaters -- has been improved.

To book a slip, visit www.midnrreservations.com. If reservations are not available, call 989-362-2731 to learn about anticipated availability for first-come, first-served slips.
