April 5 open house in Traverse City to provide information on Boardman River fish passage

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, in conjunction with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, will host an open house Wednesday, April 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. The open house will provide information to the public about fish passage objectives in the Boardman River once Boardman and Sabin dams are removed and the Union Street Dam is modified.

The open house will be held at the Grand Traverse Conservation District, located at 1450 Cass Road in Traverse City.

Staff from all three agencies will be on hand to answer questions and discuss objectives. Written comments can be provided at the open house or through an online survey. The comment period will be open April 6-28 through michigan.gov/fishing. There is no registration required for this open house.
