Intermittent lane closures, loss of water pressure possible on Belle Isle Feb. 20-25
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced that there may be intermittent lane closures and water pressure loss at Belle Isle Park due to a recent water main break. Repairs will begin Monday, Feb. 20, and the DNR anticipates that work should be completed by Friday, Feb. 25.
The water main break, which occurred near MacArthur Bridge, has affected the main water feed to the island. Intermittent lane closures and losses in water pressure may take place during the course of this work. The loss of water pressure may affect the bathrooms and water fountains.
