Repairs to North Eastern State Trail in Cheboygan County have been completed ahead of schedule

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, in partnership with the Cheboygan County Road Commission and the Michigan Department of Transportation, has completed repairs ahead of schedule on the North Eastern State Trail in Cheboygan County.

Repairs to the trail, located just south of the Cheboygan River and east of M-33, included the replacement of a collapsed culvert and improvements to the trailbed, which was unstable due to drainage issues. The repair work began July 25 and was anticipated to take two weeks.
