Surplus state-owned land in Mackinac County goes up for sale via live public auction Aug. 11
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is preparing 53 state-managed public properties for sale by live public auction Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. These surplus properties are in Bois Blanc Township (Mackinac County).
The auction will begin at noon at the Kewadin Casino, 2186 Shunk Road in Sault Ste. Marie.
On-site registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. the day of the auction. Interested bidders may preregister and get more information on the live auction at www.tax-sale.info.
The properties in Bois Blanc Township are on the eastern part of the island, which is accessible via ferry from Cheboygan, Michigan. Parcels range in size from under an acre to 22.5 acres.
