Deadman’s Hill overlook site to close June 6-10 for site improvements
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources next month will make improvements to the Deadman’s Hill overlook parking area and entrance road located at the end of Deadman’s Hill Road in Warner Township (Antrim County). During this time (June 6-10), the site will be closed to vehicle traffic.
The overlook also serves as the trailhead for the 18-mile Jordan Valley Pathway. Deadman’s Hill Road is located 10 miles south of Boyne Falls on U.S. 131.
The DNR will add approximately 270 cubic yards of gravel to the existing entrance, parking lot and exit of the trailhead to help with erosion issues and poor road conditions.
Funding for this project was provided through grants from the DNR's Recreation Improvement Fund and Recreation Trails Program.
