DNR auction of state-managed land continues through June 7
 A sealed-bid auction of 26 properties managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources began Tuesday at www.michigan.gov/landforsale and will run through Tuesday, June 7.
Available parcels are located in Cheboygan, Clare, Gladwin, Kalkaska, Marquette, Midland, Muskegon, Newaygo, Roscommon and Wexford counties. These properties are isolated from other DNR-managed public land and range in size from less than an acre to 120 acres.
View the properties offered for bid at the DNR’s Land Sale website. Printable bid forms are available under the Bid Form tab, which is found with each parcel listing. Sealed bids must be postmarked by midnight June 7 to be considered. Sealed bids are retained in a locked area and will be opened June 21 in a witnessed bid opening.

Most properties offered at auction were acquired through tax reversion. The proceeds help to provide future outdoor recreation opportunities in keeping with the DNR’s mission.

Clare County: A 36-acre parcel near Harrison, Clare County (parcel ID #23905). The property is forested and dry and has rolling topography. It also offers a well-maintained trail running from North Harrison Avenue to Birch Road.
Cheboygan County: 2.5-acre parcels on Burt Lake, Cheboygan County (parcel ID #2045699, #2045700 and #2045698, #2045701). Both of these parcels are approximately 2.5 acres in size with more than 180 feet of frontage on Burt Lake. There also is road frontage on West Burt Lake Road on the western edge of the parcels.
Roscommon County: A 29-acre parcel near St. Helens, Roscommon County (parcel ID #250394). The property is forested with frontage on both Central Drive and Cedar Creek Road.
Midland County: A 40-acre parcel near Midland, Midland County (parcel ID #111386). The property is forested with access on North 11 Mile Road./
