Celebrate American Wetlands Month at Michigan’s DNR visitor centers
 May is American Wetlands Month – a month to appreciate and enjoy the wonders of wetlands. The Department of Natural Resources will celebrate with wetland-themed programming at nine of Michigan’s DNR visitor centers. Take some time to experience this amazing native ecosystem with guided hikes and programs featuring wetland habitats and wetland creatures.

Wetlands Month programs are part of the Michigan Waterfowl Legacy, a 10-year, cooperative partnership to restore, conserve and celebrate Michigan's waterfowl, wetland and waterfowl hunting community. The initiative is a "call to action" to honor yesterday, engage today and build for tomorrow.
