Celebrate 'Christmas in June' at Fayette Historic State Park

Aerial view of Fayette Historic State ParkFayette Historic State Park will host a “Christmas in June” celebration Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is open to the public and visitors are encouraged to reserve a campsite and join the fun with holiday decorations.

The event will include festive holiday activities including outdoor games, kids' projects, a bounce house and hot dog concessions. Ugly Christmas sweaters also are welcome and encouraged.

There also will be holiday surprises. Santa Claus will bring a very tall, green and sometimes mean special guest. Santa, park staff and visitors all will have to work together to help this special guest understand why Christmas is more than packages, boxes and bags.

“We need lots of happy campers and children to help Santa’s guest find his Christmas spirit,” said Fayette Historic State Park Supervisor Randy Brown.

For camping reservations, please call 800-447-2757 or visit www.midnrreservations.com.
