Bald Mountain and Island Lake Shooting Ranges

The Bald Mountain shooting range is hosting an Open House event on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This invitation is for individuals of all ages to come out and give shooting a try! Three FREE shooting stations will be available, offering clay shooting, rifle/pistol target shooting and archery. There is no need to bring anything, as instruction, eye/ear protection, firearm rental and a limited number of targets are all included. Lunch will be available free of charge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The facility will be offering 25 percent off all shooting rates to its current customers as well as those who would like to partake in a full round of clays or any of their other shooting activities.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to meet Michigan Shooting Centers' own Pat and Drew Lieske, the first parent/child duo to represent the United States in international competition as members of the US Sporting Clays Team.

The Bald Mountain Shooting Range is located at 2500 Kern Road, Lake Orion, just a few miles east of M-24 between East Greenshield Road and East Clarkston Road. Open to the public year-round, Bald Mountain offers recreational and competitive outdoorsmen and women the opportunity to shoot shotgun, rifles, pistol and bows in a safe, family-friendly environment. Youth under 16 years of age shoot at reduced rates, and memberships are available for frequent shooters.
