May is Foster Care Awareness Month
Today is the first day of Foster Care Awareness Month.
We always like to take time to say thank you to our foster parents—but especially during these challenging times.
The closure of schools and daycare facilities across the state poses unique challenges for the dedicated families who care for one of the more than 13,000 children in foster care in Michigan. We appreciate their commitment and sacrifice.
While in-person events celebrating Foster Care Awareness Month are canceled this year, you can still connect with us online.
Our trained and experienced Foster Care Navigators are available to help. Whether you are a foster parent in need of extra support or want to learn more about becoming a foster parent, our Navigators are here for you.
