Hello Detroit!

Last year, my colleague Council Member Janeé Ayers and I released the first Legislative Budget Survey. This year, we are releasing the online budget survey early to the community for it to be completed by or before January 17th.

As the Detroit City Council President and Chair of the Budget Finance and Audit Standing Committee, our goal is to make sure that those whom the decisions impact the most have an opportunity to be heard and considered.

Detroit City Council will be presented with the Budget Address by the Mayor in March 2020. City Council Budget Hearings begin in March 2020 and will end early April 2020. City Council’s Public Hearing will be in April 2020, and we will also vote on the Budget in 2020.

Budget time is a very important time and we want to hear your feedback so that we may best serve you during this budget year. Due to the positive community feedback we received last year, we are reaching out to our constituents to complete an online survey that consist of 15 interesting questions with multiple choice answers for you to select.

Please take this time to think about what you would like to see in the budget and assist us by completing a survey that we have assembled. Help us to help you! Your collected data and participation is needed and appreciated. Click on https://bit.ly/39DSHqD to complete the 2020 City of Detroit Citizen's Budget Survey.
