EGLE Drinking Water Laboratory Complete Metals Test Update
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) Drinking Water Laboratory is updating its Complete Metals test groups to help Michigan’s water supplies and residents get the metals testing they need for compliance under the Safe Drinking Water Act and to better understand their water quality.
Beginning July 1, 2024, the laboratory is combining the CMET and CMET2 metals test codes into a single new Complete Metals test group.
The new CMET metals test code will include all the following metals from each of the former CMET and CMET2 test codes.
- Arsenic
- Barium
- Beryllium
- Cadmium
- Chromium
- Copper
- Iron
- Mercury
- Manganese
- Nickel
- Lead
- Antimony
- Selenium
- Thallium
- Zinc
