The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is now accepting applications for the Pollution Prevention (P2) and Sustainability Assessment Implementation Program. The purpose of this program is to help small businesses and manufacturers implement P2, sustainability, and in-process recycling recommendations identified during an energy, waste, or sustainability assessment.
EGLE partners with Lawrence Technological University’s Retired Engineers, Scientists, Technicians, Administrators, Researchers, and Teachers (RESTART) Program to perform free waste, energy, and sustainability assessments for Michigan businesses with less than 500 employees and public entities of any size. Michigan State University’s Industrial Assessment Center also offers similar assessments at no cost.
