Register today for the MI Healthy Climate Conference, taking place April 11-12, 2023, at the Huntington Place in Detroit! The State of Michigan, through the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, is organizing this day and a half conference to bring together and mobilize engaged stakeholders, community and business leaders, advocates, and other partners to implement the key actions in the MI Healthy Climate Plan.
On day one, attendees will hear from thought leaders and experts on the urgency to act and the opportunity we have to create a healthier, more just, and carbon-neutral Michigan. A zero net energy/zero food waste networking reception will take place that evening at the IBEW Local 58 Zero Net Energy Center. Day two breakout sessions will provide opportunities for deep-dive conversations, information sharing, and ample time for building new collaborations – all toward achieving the objectives of the MI Healthy Climate Plan laid out in the six priority actions of the Plan:
- Commit to environmental justice and pursue the just transition.
- Clean the electric grid.
- Electrify vehicles and increase public transit.
- Repair and decarbonize homes and businesses.
- Drive clean innovation in industry.
- Protect Michigan’s land and water.
