Updated Part 213 submittal requirements – RIDE user updates and training opportunity
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Remediation and Redevelopment Division (RRD) has recently released updates to the Remediation Information Data Exchange (RIDE) database and is hosting a web-based training on August 10, 2022. The update includes additions to the Inventory of Facilities list for Part 213 locations and the ability to submit Part 213 reports electronically.
RIDE provides the option to establish a MiLogin user account, which is required to submit and certify reports electronically. The user account allows consultants, owners, and operators to submit Part 213 reports electronically, including but not limited to Notice of On-Site Work Activity, Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessment Reports, Closure Reports, Supplemental Information Reports, and other submittals related to Part 213. The ability to submit reports electronically related to Part 201 such as Baseline Environmental Assessments, Response Activity Plans, Documentation of Due Care Compliance, and No Further Action reports will follow in a subsequent release of RIDE.
For resources and information on utilizing RIDE and the Inventory of Facilities, please visit the RIDE informational website. Also, please join EGLE-RRD on August 10, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for web-based training on how to establish a MiLogin user account, navigate the new updates in RIDE, and submit Part 213 reports electronically. Registration for the virtual training webinar is now available.
