UPDATE: MAERS Submittal and Spreadsheet deadline extended to March 25

By law, facilities are required to report annual air emissions through the Michigan Air Emissions and Reporting System (MAERS) and an associated Supplemental Control Template (Spreadsheet) by March 15, 2022.

Recently MAERS experienced unexpected downtime, taking away time you may have needed to complete your submittals.

Due to this unexpected downtime, we will consider the submittal of the MAERS submittal and the Spreadsheet to be timely provided it is submitted no later than March 25, 2022.

We encourage you to submit as soon as possible. We remain interested in receiving accurate air emissions information and is representative of your operations. We hope this additional time will help ensure the information in your submittal will meet this goal. We appreciate the regulated community’s efforts to provide complete and accurate reports.

Anyone needing assistance with completion of a facility’s annual emissions report, including the new Spreadsheet may contact us at InfoMAERS@Michigan.gov.
