Deadline to apply for grants to replace qualifying diesel trucks and transit/shuttle buses with cleaner fuel vehicles closing soon
Grant applications are being accepted, now through August 20, 2021, for all-electric, diesel-electric hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; Class 4-8 Local Freight Trucks, Port Drayage Trucks, Shuttle and Transit Buses. These grants are being offered through the Volkswagen Mitigation Trust of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s Fuel Transformation Program.
- Total grant amount available: approximately $11 million
- Minimum grant request: $50,000
- Maximum grant request: $3,000,000
The request for proposal and application materials are available at Michigan.gov/EGLEFTP. Submit applications to EGLE-FTP-VW@michigan.gov by August 20th.
