 Public comment extended until Sept. 7 for Ajax Materials Corporation draft air permit
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) will continue taking public comments for an extended period of time on a draft air permit for a new asphalt plant proposed by Ajax Materials Corporation (Ajax) in Genesee Township, Genesee County.
EGLE has granted a request from the public for an extension of the public comment period. The comment period will now remain open until September 7, 2021.
Before making a comment, you may want to review information about the proposed asphalt plant and draft air permit. The proposed project summary gives a good overview of Ajax’s request, the contents of the draft permit, and what this may mean to local residents.
