Save the dates for the virtual Michigan Environmental Justice Conference!
May 18-20, 2021
The many crises of the last year have made the need to achieve environmental justice more relevant than ever. The disproportionate impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic shed a bright light on the long-standing challenges facing environmental justice communities, requiring us to be intentional and collaborative as we address the systemic inequities that led to this moment. At no other time in our recent history has the need to rebuild trust, reimagine justice, and remove barriers held such significance.
How can and should we address these challenges? How can government, community, and business work together to achieve environmental justice? Who can and should help facilitate the change needed to ensure all Michiganders are equitably protected and benefit from our environmental laws and regulations?
Join us May 18-20 for the inaugural Michigan Environmental Justice Conference as we discuss how to tackle these questions and foster the dialogue and actions that will help us achieve environmental justice in Michigan and beyond.
