Registration now open for the 2021 SARA Title III Tier II Webinar Series
Does your facility store chemicals that require safety data sheets? Are you new to Tier II Reporting or need to refresh your reporting skills and have questions?
Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act ("SARA Title III"), also known as the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, requires facilities to report potentially hazardous and extremely hazardous materials to state and local officials that can be vital to the safety of employees, first responders and the surrounding community.
The SARA Title III - Tier II Webinar Series will provide an overview of program regulations, reporting requirements, emergency planning provisions and a step-by-step tutorial on logging into Tier II Manager and initiating a Tier II Annual Report. Time will also be set aside to answer questions and provide assistance. Registration includes access to all three parts (outlined below) of the series. A recording will be provided soon after each webinar concludes.
Note: This webinar series replaces the workshops that are usually provided in a live format annually. We hope to offer the live workshops again in future years.
January 13, 9:00 - 10:30 AM EST SARA Title III Part 1 Decoding SARA Title lll Requirements that May Apply to Your Facility
This session will focus on the four main components of the SARA Title lll Regulations in Michigan. The session will also discuss some of the chemicals regulated by SARA Title III and discuss release reporting requirements under the regulation.
January 20, 9:00 - 10:30 AM EST SARA Title III Part 2 Drilling Down: Tier ll Reporting Requirements in Michigan
This session will drill down into SARA Title lll Tier ll Reporting requirements in Michigan. The session will also discuss thresholds for Tier ll Reporting (hazardous chemical and extremely hazardous chemical reporting) and demonstrate how to perform basic calculations and determine if your facility needs to submit a Tier ll Report in Michigan by presenting a reporting scenario.
January 27, 9:00 - 10:30 AM EST SARA Title III Part 3 Navigating the Online Tier ll Manager Program and Frequently Asked Questions
This session will outline how to access the Online Tier ll Manager Program, registering for a new account or assume an existing user account, access your facility(s) in Tier ll Manager, enter chemical information, and submit a Tier ll Annual Report. This session will also include a frequently asked questions component where common questions are addressed, as well as new questions from the workshop audience.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This webinar series is recommended for owners, operators, and environmental and safety personnel of facilities that have hazardous materials and/or chemicals on site. Environmental consultants, LEPCs, and fire department personnel can also benefit from these webinars and are encouraged to register.
