Proposed fugitive dust plan for Revere Dock
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy is holding a public comment period from October 29, 2020 to December 18, 2020 for a proposed fugitive dust plan related to operations at Revere Dock, LLC.
Revere Dock is proposing to obtain an enforceable fugitive dust plan. A fugitive dust plan is a written plan which details the steps, methods and recordkeeping Revere Dock is proposing to use to limit the amount of dust created by their operations. This plan is for operations at the existing dry bulk material storage facility and aggregate terminal in Detroit. The fugitive dust plan would qualify as a State Operating Plan to help Revere Dock get a Certificate of Alternative Compliance from the City of Detroit for Chapter 22 of the Detroit City Code for Handling of Solid Waste and Prevention of Illegal Dumping.
The public is encouraged to review information about the proposed project and present comments on the proposed permit action at any time before the end of the comment period.

Attend the Virtual Informational Session and Public Hearing on December 9 at 6 p.m. This will provide background information on the proposed fugitive dust plan, answer questions from the public as well as to take comment on the record during the public hearing portion. All statements received during the public comment period will be considered by the decision-maker prior to a final ruling being made on the proposed permit. Once all comments are considered, the decision-maker may approve the permit as written, approve with changes, or deny the permit.
