Arbor Hills Landfill PFAS sampling results available

The Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) worked with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy as well as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide information to the public regarding PFAS sampling results on and around the Arbor Hills Landfill. Some of the conclusions of the sampling include:

  • One location on the Landfill property resulted in a concentration of PFAS above the part 201 criteria for drinking water.
  • Due to the flow of groundwater in the area, seven residential wells were tested.
  • All seven residential water samples results show the water is below Part 201 standards for drinking water for PFAS (70 ppt PFOS + PFOA) and well below proposed state drinking water limits.

MPART has listed the landfill as a site and included information about the sampling results on the MPART webpage as well as a recorded discussion of the PFAS sampling results.
