Central Sanitary Landfill Phase 2 Sampling

Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Investigation Sample Results

The second phase of drinking water well sampling near the Central Sanitary Landfill is complete. Residents who had their water tested have received their results.

There was no PFOA/PFOS detected in any residential drinking water supplies and PFAS was not found in most of the drinking water wells tested in this second phase.

As a precaution, residents who had PFAS detected in their water sample have been offered filters. This is being done until we can complete the investigation and monitoring needed to ensure that PFAS levels do not increase over time.

Thanks to all those who participated in the second phase of this investigation.
