Public Feedback Sessions on Draft Line 5 Alternatives Report Begin Today
What: Three Public Feedback Sessions about the draft analysis of the Straits Pipeline report that looks at alternatives to Line 5.
Who: The Michigan Agency for Energy, Michigan Attorney General’s Office, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Representatives from Dynamic Risk Assessment Systems, Inc., the independent contractors who authored the report, will also be in attendance.
When and Where:
Why: The events are an opportunity for the public to provide comment on the contents of the draft report. The 45-day public comment period is intended to ensure the informational basis for any decision about the future of Line 5 is robust and complete.
How else to participate: Interested persons may also submit comment on the Michigan Petroleum Pipelines website, www.mipetroleumpipelines.com until Aug. 4, 2017. From Aug. 5-19, 2017, the public will be able to respond to comments.
