Join Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council for a Coastal Wetlands Webinar Northern Michigan’s Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council invites those interested in Great Lakes watershed and coastal topics to participate in a webinar about best management practices for coastal wetlands in relation to climate change. Webinar participants will have an opportunity to learn about coastal wetlands, the effects of climate change on wetland ecosystems in the Great Lakes, and practices to maintain and improve the resiliency of coastal wetlands. Speakers include program experts from Central Michigan University, University of Michigan, and the State of Michigan Nonpoint Source Program. The webinar and best management practices were developed, in part, through a Michigan Office of the Great Lakes Coastal Zone Management Program Grant. Funds were provided by NOAA through a state and federal partnership established under the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972.
