MDCR is reopening our field office in Flint, Michigan! Our new space will be located on the 5th floor of the Flint State Office Building at 125 E. Union St, Flint, MI 48502. Please remember that MDCR offices are open to visitors by appointment only.
The new facility will enhance MDCR's presence in the community and hopefully foster stronger relationships with our Genesee County stakeholders. To celebrate the expansion, MDCR will be hosting an Open House on Monday, October 28, 2024, beginning at 4:00 PM. If you are interested in attending this event, please contact Harold Core at coreh@michigan.gov.

ADA Compliance, Departmental Technician 7-E9: This position is the Department Technician that assists in various activities regarding Title II of the ADA’s statutory requirement of self-evaluations and transition plans for SOM departments. The position also supports the work of the SOM Digital Information Accessibility Coordinator (DIAC) and the ADA Compliance Division, particularly relating to the administration of the SOM’s digital accessibility trainings, presentations and technical assistance. The responsible employee will also support the work of the Disability Rights and Compliance Division (DRACD) various units regarding digital accessibility compliance, training and technical assistance. Apply by October 17, 2024.

If you are a returning citizen, you can vote.
- If you have a past conviction, you can vote. Individuals with felony convictions automatically have their right to vote restored once they have served their time.
- If you are in or out of jail waiting to be sentenced, you can vote.
- If you are on parole, you can vote.
- If you are on probation, you can vote.
- If you recently received or renewed a Michigan ID or driver’s license, you are registered to vote.

If you are homeless or housing unstable/insecure, you can vote.
- While there is a 30-day residency requirement for elections, you can register to vote by listing a street corner, shelter, park or any other place you usually stay as your address. The address can also be a local shelter, outreach center, advocacy organization or someone who will accept mail for you.

If you speak a language other than English, you can vote.
- You have the right to bring an interpreter with you to the polls. You can ask anyone to serve as an interpreter, unless they are someone who could influence your vote. Your interpreter can’t be:
- Your employer
- An agent of your employer
- An officer or agent of your labor union

Important Election Dates
- Monday, October 21, 2024 - Deadline to register by mail or online and be eligible to vote for the November election. In-person registration with local clerk with proof of residency allowed through Election Day.
- Saturday, October 26, 2024 - Begin mandatory period of early voting.
- Friday, November 1, 2024 by 5:00 PM - Online and mail requests for an absentee ballot must be received by your township or city clerk.
- Sunday, November 3, 2024 - Last day of early voting. Discover your early voting location.
- Monday, November 4, 2024 by 4:00 PM - Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot in person at the clerk’s office.
- Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM - GENERAL ELECTION. You may still register on Election Day and vote in person at your clerk's office or the proper precinct.
