The Farmers’ Creamery Recalls Milk Products Due to Potential Improper Pasteurization

MIO, MI -- Out of an abundance of caution, The Farmers’ Creamery, of Mio, MI, is voluntarily recalling specific milk products produced by the company on February 7, 2024, due to the possibility of milk not being pasteurized according to legal requirements.

While no illnesses or hospitalizations associated with the recalled products have been reported, consuming products that are not fully pasteurized can pose a significant health risk, especially to the young and elderly or immunocompromised individuals.

The dairy products being recalled are packaged in plastic bottles, like those shown below.

Products include “European Food Factory’s - Plain Yogurt.”

The products can be identified by “European Food Factory 100% Grass Fed A2/A2 MOOMOO Grade A Plain Yogurt” on the label. Lot codes for the fluid products are identified by “Sell By 4-8.”

The Farmers’ Creamery has notified its distributors to arrange for return/pick-up of all recalled products. Retailers and distributors that have yogurt included in the recall should pull the products from their shelves for return to European Food Factory in Livonia, MI. Customers with recalled products should not consume them and should discard the products or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Questions regarding this recall should be directed to The Farmers’ Creamery at 989-826-8368.
