Midwestern Hemp Research Collaborative provides update and reminds growers 2022 applications are due by July 16

The University of Illinois Extension Commercial Agriculture is sharing its updates on the Midwestern Hemp Research Collaborative (MHRC) for the 2022 growing season. The MHRC is a collaboration between land grant institutions and private laboratories in the Midwest.

The following 2021 MHRC research reports are available online

  • Hemp Cultivar Check Program (multi-state grower-cooperator variety trials)
  • Midwestern Hemp Database
  • UW-Madison Variety Trials
  • Michigan State University Variety Trials
  • Purdue University Variety Trials  

Additionally, applications to participate in the Midwestern Hemp Database for the 2022 growing season are now open. The goal of this project is to provide regional insight into agronomic performance and cannabinoid development of industrial hemp varieties. Participation in this program provides an opportunity to receive significantly discounted cannabinoid profiling at $35 per sample.

In order to determine your eligibility please read the project overview. To participate in this project, please fill out the online survey here. Prospective participants will be alerted of their inclusion into the program soon after submitting applications. The application period closes on July 16, 2022.
