Final Industrial Hemp License Renewal Reminder

As a final reminder, all currently registered hemp growers and licensed processor-handlers registrations and licenses expire on November 30, 2019.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) is urging those that intend to grow, process and handle industrial hemp in 2020 to ensure you have renewed your registration and/or license before doing so. Renewal applications postmarked after November 30th are assessed a $250.00 late fee.

Renewal packets were mailed to all currently registered growers and licensed processor-handlers in early October to the mailing address listed on your 2019 registration/license application.  If you did not receive your packet, please contact the MDARD Central Licensing Unit at 1-800-292-3939, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as soon as possible to ensure your renewal is postmarked by November 30, 2019.
