License Renewal Reminder

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) would like to remind all currently registered hemp growers and licensed processor-handlers that their 2019 hemp registrations and licenses expire on November 30, 2019.

If you intend to grow, process and handle industrial hemp in 2020, you will must renew your registration and/or license before doing so. Remember, renewal applications postmarked after November 30th are assessed a $250.00 late fee.

Renewal packets were mailed to all currently registered growers and licensed processor-handlers in early October to the mailing address listed on their 2019 registration/license application. If you did not receive your packet, please contact the MDARD Central Licensing Unit at 1-800-292-3939, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
