The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) requires states to report on how well they’re meeting specific special education goals and targets. CEPI publishes this information on the Special Education Annual Public Reporting page of MI School Data.
For example, districts have specific graduation rate targets for special education students. For school year 2020-21, that target was 70.78%.
The public can download the Part B (Special Education) and Part C (Early On®) spreadsheets to review the target goals and see which districts and ISDs met those goals. The data files have been updated with 2021-22 data.
