CEPI applications and MI School Data will be intermittently offline for maintenance on Sunday, Jan. 1 from 6 a.m. to noon EST. Only limited informational inquires will be available during this time.

MSDS News

TSDL: SCED Code Update for 2023-24 School Year

Beginning in the 2023-24 school year, to stay up to date with the National Center for Education Statistics School Courses for the Exchange of Data, CEPI will be transitioning from version 6 to version 10. This minor update will include 31 new courses and 12 courses that are being archived/removed. You can view these updates on our TSDL web page under Help and Training, or by clicking the following link: SCED Code Changes: V6 to V10.

Spring 2023 Early Childhood Collection is Open

The Spring 2023 Early Childhood Collection opened Dec. 14.

Key Collection Dates:

• Nov. 1 through Feb. 15: Reporting Period
• Feb. 14: Data quality checks performed on data submitted before this date
• Feb. 22: Certification Deadline

GSRP Wait List Reporting: Report children eligible for GSRP but on a wait list as of the Spring 2022 EC reporting period end date (Feb. 15) in the Spring EC Collection. Children who were on the wait list but removed prior to Feb. 15 or added after Feb. 15 should not be reported.

The updated schema, sample file and schema summary are now available for the following collections:

• Third Grade Retention 2022-23
• EOY General Collection 2022-23
• Early Childhood EOP 2022-23
• Early Roster 2023-24
