During the EOY 2022 REP Collection, CEPI received reopen requests from nearly half of the state's public school districts. Statue requires the REP to be complete and accurate by Dec. 1. Given the three-month timeframe to certify the REP, CEPI is shifting to only allow reopen requests for critical REP errors during the Fall 2022 Collection.
The 2022-23 Benchmark Assessment Survey will be available in GEMS/MARS later this week. A link to the survey and additional information will be shared by MDE in this week's Spotlight communication. Per state law, districts must administer benchmark assessments to all students in K-8 in reading and mathematics.
Districts who used at least one of the MDE-approved assessments (Curriculum Associates i-Ready, NWEA MAP or Renaissance Star) must complete this survey to apply for additional funding equal to $12.50 per eligible student. Districts providing benchmark assessments with progress monitoring tools or local benchmark assessments must complete the survey to report the assessment administered, how that assessment measures changes in learning, and plans for addressing any losses in learning. All data must be submitted by 5 p.m. EST on Dec. 2.
The link to the survey and information on reporting requirements, including a Fact Sheet and FAQ, can be found on MDE’s Benchmark Assessments website.
Reminder: When an employee with access to CEPI applications leaves your district, you must submit a CEPI User Removal Form to remove that employee’s application access. Completed removal forms can be sent to cepi@michigan.gov.
