MSDS Spring Resources Available

Updated schemas, sample files and schema summaries have been posted for the following MSDS collections:

REP Collection Resource Reminder and Important Dates

  • The Fall 2021 REP Collection is open, with certified data due to CEPI on Dec. 1.
  • The Mid-Collection Data Quality snapshot deadline is the end of day on Nov. 15. To ensure your REP data are included in the analysis, records must be updated prior to the snapshot.

The REP web page has many helpful resources to assist in completing the submission.

Per MDE’s Sept. 2 Memo, the department asks REP reporting districts to closely examine submissions to ensure accurate reporting of online assignments, funded position status and employment status.

GAD Audit Window Closes Soon

  • Dec. 2 – The audit of active cohorts (2019 through 2024) in the Graduation and Dropout application will close at 11:59 p.m. EST.

If you have not performed your GAD audits, please do so before the window closes.

2021-22 Benchmark Assessment Survey

Per state law, districts must administer benchmark assessments to all K-8 students in reading and mathematics. On Nov. 12, a survey will be made available in GEMS/MARS, and districts must complete the survey by Dec. 10 to report which assessments they utilized this year. A link to the survey will be made available on MDE’s Benchmark Assessments website when the survey goes live.

Districts providing MDE-approved assessments can complete the survey to apply for funding equal to $12.50 per eligible student. Districts providing benchmark assessments with progress monitoring tools or local benchmark assessments must complete the survey to report the assessment administered, how that assessment measures changes in learning, and plans for addressing any losses in learning.

For additional information on reporting requirements please see MDE’s Fact Sheet and FAQ.
