Upcoming Changes to CEPI Website

The State of Michigan is in the process of changing to a new website content management system. While the content of the CEPI website will mostly remain the same, the look of the site will change.

  • The vertical navigation menu will be replaced with a horizontal menu bar.
  • Current URLs will be replaced with “friendly” URLs. For example, michigan.gov/cepi/0,4546,7-113-986---,00.html could become michigan.gov/cepi/k12/
  • The color scheme will change to be consistent with SoM websites.

The links and content for CEPI’s applications will not change. Users will continue to log in through MILogin at the same URL as before. Likewise, MI School Data will not be affected by the change.

Old links and bookmarks for the CEPI website should automatically forward to the new URLs.

The goal is to complete the changeover by the end of 2021. We will send a follow-up note once we have a firm go-live date.

High School Equivalency Data Findings in MSDS and GAD

The Graduation and Dropout application is open from Monday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Dec. 2 for ISD auditors to conduct the annual audit of active cohorts (2019 through 2024). District authorized users may also preview auditable graduation and dropout rates.

Beginning this year, auditable rates will now include High School Equivalency proficiency data from the state workforce agency. For applicable students, a state GAD audit finding has been created and the cohort status has been updated to GED Completer. These updates are also reflected in GAD and MSDS reports.

For more information on these changes, please review the updated documentation on the MSDS Graduation and Dropout Information web page.
