The 2020-21 Third Grade Retention Collection closes on Sept. 1. Records must be certified by 11:59 p.m. EDT. All students who are subject to retention per the Read By Grade Three law must be reported in this collection with a retention decision.
For additional information, please see the Read by Grade Three FAQ.
Earlier this month district lead administrators received a full list of UICs for students identified for retention under the Read by Grade Three law.
These notifications were provided so districts could reach out to parents/guardians to explain the law, their student's score, and their available options.
For more information, see the Aug. 4 CEPI Announcements.
CEPI will remove all Request for UIC Collection data from the staging area during the school year rollover. If you wish to retain any data from this collection, be sure to download and save data and reports by Sept. 17. After this date, the new Request for UIC Collection will open for the 2021-22 school year.
The updated schema, sample file and schema summary have been posted for the 2021-22 Request for UIC Collection.
