CEPI applications and MI School Data will be intermittently offline for maintenance on Sunday, July 4 from 6 a.m. to noon EDT. Only limited informational inquires will be available during this time.
June 30 – EOY 2021 MSDS General Collection certification deadline. Records must be certified by 11:59 p.m. EDT.
You can use the 2021 EOY Checklist to confirm that you have included pertinent information.
MDE will use MSDS certified data as of June 30 for Pandemic EBT benefits. Collection requirements:
Early Childhood
-
June 30 – Certify by 11:59 p.m. and keep the collection in certified status through July 11.
- All children certified in the MSDS Early Childhood Collection enrolled in Center-based Head Start, Early Head Start, or GSRP eligible for free- or reduced-priced meals will receive P-EBT benefits.
- Include the SNE Component indicating free- or reduced-priced meal eligibility for every eligible child.
- The collection can be de-certified for further updates beginning July 12.
- The collection closes Aug. 25.
MSDS General
- All children certified in the MSDS General Collection as eligible for free- or reduced-priced meals by 11:59 p.m. June 30 will be eligible for P-EBT benefits.
Note: All children matched for direct certification by June 30 will also be eligible for P-EBT benefits.
June 30 – 2021 SID data are due to CEPI by 11:59 p.m.
The collection is considered completed when all buildings have the green check mark status, indicating that the school’s submission is complete for all SID fields. The red “x” indicates that a school’s submission is not complete.
Note: SID data captures incidents "at school," which includes:
- In a classroom, elsewhere on school premises, on a school bus or other school-related vehicle, or at a school sponsored activity or event whether or not it is held on school premises.
- Conduct using a telecommunications access device or telecommunications service provider that occurs off school premises if the telecommunications access device or the telecommunications service provider is owned by or under the control of the school district or PSA.
June 30 – The EOY 2021 REP Collection is due to CEPI by 11:59 p.m. Prior to certification, please review these areas of particular importance:
- Assignment Codes and Educator Effectiveness Evaluation Labels: Inaccuracies in either field may result in teachers’ inability to advance their teaching certificate. Report all staff employed or contracted by your district. Use the Educator Effectiveness Summary report, and/or download the REP Data File to review your district’s submission. Follow the instructions in the REP Report User Guide.
-
MDE’s March 25, 2021 memo asks districts to closely examine REP submissions to ensure accurate reporting of online assignments, funded position status and employment status.
- TSDL/REP alignment of course and assignment reporting: Many data quality issues are tied to PIC reporting alignment with REP and local consistency of reporting course level data. Please use CEPI’s Best Practices for REP and TSDL Course Reporting document to prevent data quality issues.
- New Teacher Incentive Pay: This incentive pay relies on REP data to identify eligible teachers. It is imperative the EOY REP data submission is accurate, especially for new teachers.
The REP web page has helpful resources to assist in completing the submission.
June 30 – Points of Pride data, which is publicly displayed on the Parent Dashboard as "School Services and Offerings," must be submitted in the EEM by this date to be included in the next update.
For more information on how to view the Points of Pride or edit the data in EEM, view the Points of Pride in EEM document.
July 3 – General TSDL Data Quality Analysis (Mid-Collection 1). If you wish to have your data reviewed, please submit data by 11:59 p.m. EDT.
July 23 – General TSDL Data Quality Analysis (Mid-Collection 2). If you wish to have data reviewed, please submit your data by 11:59 p.m. EDT.
July 7 – The Budgetary Assumptions Collection certification deadline is 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Support material is posted on the FID web page. For questions about submitting data in FID, contact CEPI customer support. For program and policy questions, contact Samuel Irrer with Treasury, irrers4@michigan.gov.
July 16 – All districts must complete and certify the Days and Clock Hours submission in the EEM by this date. District users are encouraged to submit as soon as possible to allow ISDs to review and correct potential errors. ISD users have until Aug. 1 to review and certify the report.
For the 2020-21 school year, districts have flexibility in determining how much instructional time was delivered. If the amount of content for a full-time student would have led to a calendar with 180 days and 1,098 hours in a normal school year, the district would be considered compliant and can certify they satisfied the requirements.
For application questions, refer to the D/CH User Guide. Questions regarding the State School Aid Act should be directed to Jessica Beagle at beaglej1@michigan.gov.
