P-EBT and School Nutrition and News

MDE’s Office of Health and Nutrition Services has created a Pandemic-EBT web page providing information and guidance regarding P-EBT food assistance benefits. This web page contains important information regarding the program and links to frequently asked questions, as well as how districts can update student enrollment information in MSDS.

Additional information is also available in the MDE School Nutrition and News communication published April 28.

Reporting Student Addresses in MSDS

CEPI has found that some districts report two different addresses for students in the Personal Demographics Component: one address on “Street Address 1” and a different address on “Street Address 2.” As a result, DHHS is unable to mail Pandemic-EBT cards to these students if they are eligible for these benefits. Please note the following:

• “Street Address 1” is to be reported as the student’s primary mailing address.
• “Street Address 2” is meant to provide additional information about “Street Address 1,” such as an apartment or lot number and can be left blank.

Corrections to these data should be made in the SRM Collection by May 12 in order for the data to be reflected for the next mailing. For a schedule of cutoff dates, please refer to MDE's Pandemic-EBT web page.

MI School Data News

MI School Data will be down for a period of time between May 8 and May 14 for maintenance.
