CEPI will update the MSDS TSDL collections to use SCED Version 6.0 beginning with the 2019-20 school year. Please note, you will still be able to use SCED codes from version 1.0 as well as the SCED codes from version 6.0 for the 2019-20 school year. Beginning in the 2020-21 school year, you will not be able to submit SCED Version 1.0.
The two characteristics in the General TSDL and Migrant TSDL collections that make up the SCED code are 1) Subject Area Code and 2) Course Identifier Code. See the NCES SCED Version 6.0 resource for more information and a list of all of the codes used in Version 6.0.
The following collections are due to the state in coming weeks:
- SE-4096: Closes Sept. 30
- SE-4094: Closes Oct. 7
Submissions are due to ISDs two weeks prior to the close of these collections. If you have not completed this process, please work with your ISD to make sure they can do their final approvals by the close of each collection.
User support materials can be accessed on the FID web page.
The District Entity Overview for the 2019-20 school year has been released to EEM users and Lead Administrators. This tool compiles high-stakes EEM data fields into a single document so users can quickly and easily review data for the new school year. Certain fields have been highlighted to assist in reviewing discrepancies between reported student and entity data.
Please review the data and make any necessary changes by Monday, Sept. 30 at 11:59 p.m.
