CEPI has updated the calendar of events to reflect collection activities for the entire 2019-20 school year.
Response to CRDC Pre-Kindergarten DQ Feedback
Michigan’s federal EDFacts (PK-12 education data) coordinator has received several communications from districts regarding USED Office of Civil Rights CRDC data quality feedback. These concerns relate to prekindergarten counts reported in CRDC as compared to what the state submits to EDFacts.

Early Childhood EOP Collection Reminder
The MSDS Early Childhood EOP 2019 Collection closes on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Records must be certified by 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Request for UIC Collection Archive
CEPI will archive the Request for UIC Collection on Monday, Sept. 9. Student records submitted prior to July 1 will be removed. If you wish to retain these records, please download your collection and/or system reports by Sept. 8 at 11:59 p.m. Student records submitted on or after July 1 will remain in the collection and appear on staging area reports.
New Reading Deficiency Activities Code
At the request of MDE, a new code (06 - Read at Home) has been added to the Reading Deficiency Activities characteristic in the Early Reading Deficiency Component for the 2019-20 school year. The following MSDS resources have been updated to reflect this change:
Beginning in the Fall 2019 REP Collection, Title IX Coordinators will no longer be collected within the REP and must now be designated within the EEM for your district. For information on how to properly designate your Title IX Coordinator in EEM, please visit How to Add, Remove or Edit a Contact Type in the Educational Entity Master. If the Superintendent also serves as the Title IX Coordinator, they should be listed as each contact type in the EEM.
The FID Collection opens Sept. 3 for the reporting of 2018-19 financial data. The financial data are due by Nov. 1. Users may find support material on the FID web page and the Michigan Public School Accounting Manual on the MDE website.
