MSDS 2018 Fall General Collection Deadlines
The MSDS 2018 Fall Collection deadlines are fast approaching. Please see the list of deadline dates below:
2018 Fall General Collection
- Nov. 7 - Submission due by 11:59 p.m. EST
- Nov. 14 - Certification due by 11:59 p.m. EST
2018 Fall Early Childhood Collection
- Nov. 14 - Certification due by 11:59 p.m. EST
PLN Validation for Early Childhood Programs
A Provider License Number must be submitted for children participating in a Great Start Readiness Program (EC Program Code 01), GSRP/Head Start Blend program (EC Program Code 02), or Head Start program (EC Program Code 03).
Beginning with the MSDS EC Fall 2018 collection, PLNs will be validated during quality review based on data from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Early Childhood Investment Corporation. Please ensure your PLN is valid to avoid certification errors.

Section 25e Request Window
The window to submit pupil transfer requests under Section 25e of the State School Aid Act will occur in the MSDS from Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 through Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019. While districts may begin submitting requests on Nov. 15, ISD auditors may not begin processing requests until Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Monday, Nov. 12, Veteran's Day, is an observed state holiday. Minimal customer support staff will be available to provide support for the upcoming MSDS deadlines. Phones will not ring through to staff; therefore, please send an email to CEPI@michigan.gov, or leave a message at 517-335-0505 x3. Customer support staff will monitor email and voicemail. Please plan and prepare accordingly.
The audit of active cohorts (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021) in the Graduation and Dropout application will close Dec. 3, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. EST. If you have not gone into the GAD to perform your audits, please do so before the window closes.
As part of our new quarterly training series, CEPI invites you to a free training event hosted at Genesee Intermediate School District on Monday, Nov. 26 from noon to 4 p.m. EST. Information about this training is available in the Registration Form. The first 80 registrants will be confirmed as attendees. CEPI will send a final confirmation and formal invitation to attendees by Nov. 15.
Public Release Scheduled
English Learner Growth: Shows changes in aggregated student scores over time on the WIDA ACCESS for ELLs assessment. This report will be released into preview today with 2017-18 school year data, and will be released to the public within one week.
