MI School Data: Report Release News

Preview Release Scheduled

College Readiness*: Shows how students performed on the College Board SAT completed during the Michigan Merit Examination in the spring of eleventh grade. The reports will soon be updated with school year 2017-18 data. The data will be released in preview before public release.

Grades 3-8 and High School Assessments*: Will soon be updated with school year 2017-18 MSTEP and MI-Access data. The data will be released in preview before public release.

*The preview window is for educators to see data before they're publicly released. Data are embargoed from being released to the media or any outside party until they're released publicly.

Secure Reports Release Scheduled

Student-level M-STEP Data: Grades 3-8 and High School Performance level reports will soon be updated with 2017-18 student-level M-STEP data.

Student results are protected and MUST not be publicly reported, but a student’s results may be shared with their parents. The data are EMBARGOED until the public release of spring 2018 assessment results, meaning districts and schools are prohibited from using the student-level data to create and publicly report aggregate results. Districts and schools will be notified by MDE when the embargo has been lifted.

It is NOT permissible to share any results with the community or other external parties until MDE lifts the embargo. School board meetings are open meetings; therefore, sharing embargoed results at these meetings is not permissible. School, district and state level aggregate data will be made available later this summer.

M-STEP Target Analysis: An aggregate report available to secure users that provides an overview of relative strengths and weaknesses by assessment target, compared to student performance on the test as a whole. The report can be found within Grades 3-8 Assessments and will soon be updated with 2017-18 school year data.

For a schedule of report releases, please see our Report Calendar. Check the ticker on MI School Data for updated report release news.
