2018-19 TSDL
Reporting Changes
In
response to concerns from the field and in consultation with several districts
and ISDs, updates are being made to the MSDS TSDL Collection beginning with the 2018-19
school year. These changes will clarify how to submit dual enrollment
courses and make it easier to update and submit course records. To view
these changes, please visit 2018-19
TSDL Reporting Changes.
The deadline for submitting the Days and Clock Hours of Instruction Report (DS-4168) is
nearing. District users can submit and certify reports until July 16 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. ISD
users will have until Aug. 1 to review and certify the report.
Users with
application questions can refer to the D/CH
User Guide.
Questions regarding
the State School Aid Act should be directed to Brian
Ciloski at CiloskiB@michigan.gov, or
517-241-2209.
In
July GAD and REP will migrate from the Michigan Education Information System to MILogin.
CEPI
is working with the MILogin team to automatically subscribe users who
currently have access to GAD and REP and have an existing MILogin account
(matching first name, last name and email address between MEIS and MILogin). Please do not create another MILogin account if you already have one.
CEPI
will communicate the date of the migration with the final details for existing
users.
New Home Page Planned
A new mobile-friendly home page for MI
School Data will be released this month. The home page will include easy access
to large features such as the Parent Dashboard and Student Assessment reports,
and smaller features of high interest from the Early Childhood, K-12,
Postsecondary and Workforce reports. The Report Calendar will be prominently
placed as well for quick reference.
Released in Preview
Continuity of Service in Special
Education: The Service Pathways and Service Comparisons reports provide data on early intervention and special
education services delivered to Michigan children between birth and third
grade. The reports have been updated in preview with 2016-17 school year data
and will be released to the public in one week.
MI School Data Secure Account
Inactivation
To streamline account maintenance processes, secure MI School
Data accounts with no login activity since Jan. 1, 2017 will be inactivated on
Aug. 1, 2018. Those with inactivated accounts will receive a “Your login
attempt was not successful” message after attempting to login, and will be
unable to access secure data. Users who wish to maintain their access should
log in by July 31, 2018. To reactivate an
