The EOP 2016 Early Childhood Collection will close at 11:59
p.m. EDT tonight (Wednesday, August 17, 2016). The Certification Status for
your district's collection must be "Written to Queue – Available for
Certification," "Processing Certification" or
"Certified" by this deadline. Remember, your collection must be
error-free and you must successfully complete the Quality Review process before
the system will allow you to certify.
The MILogin application will be offline
for maintenance this Saturday, August 27, from approximately 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
The Educational Entity Master (EEM) and Michigan Student Data System (MSDS)
will be unavailable during this time.
The report of
students who are directly certified to receive free supplemental nutrition
services was refreshed Friday, August, 12 using the following records:
- EOY 2016 General Collection
certified records.
- Early Roster Collection
records that were resolved and error-free prior to August 10.
CEPI is seeking volunteers to test the MSDS fall
collections. We anticipate the testing window to be open August 18-29, 2016. If
you or any of your colleagues are available during this time, and would
be interested in testing, please complete the Non-State
Tester Security Agreement Form and return it
either by fax to 517-335-0488 or via email to CEPI@michigan.gov
by August 19.
Districts with dropout recovery programs that receive
funding under Section 23a of the State School Aid Act (MCL 388.1623a) must
submit outstanding Section 23a membership claims for instructional services
provided from July 2015 through June 2016 no later than August 31, 2016.
Beginning on September 1, 2016, these claims will be denied.
Effective mid-September 2016 (after the MSDS has rolled over to
the 2016-17 school year), Section 23a claims for a particular month must be
certified in the SRM Collection no later than 30 calendar days after the end of
that month. For example, claims for September 2016 must be certified by October
30, 2016.
For questions regarding claim submissions in MSDS, please
contact CEPI customer support. For questions regarding Section 23a legislation,
please contact Brian Ciloski in the MDE Office of State Aid and School Finance
at 517-373-3352 or CiloskiB@michigan.gov.
All Section 64b Incentive Funds Claims forms for school year
2015-16 must be submitted by August 31, 2016. Claim forms submitted past the
deadline will not be processed for funding.
Districts may claim Section 64b funding
by submitting the claim worksheet, located on the MSDS web page under Technical
Material.
Questions regarding Section 64b or dual enrollment should be
directed to the MDE Office of Career and Technical Education at 517-373-3373,
or the Office of Education Improvement and Innovation at 517-241-3147.
