City of Ann Arbor Road or Lane Closure Update - Sunday Marathon to close streets, Liberty Bridge closed Monday

On Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, from 3 a.m. - 2 p.m., the following streets, sidewalks and paths will be closed for the Ann Arbor Marathon Running special event:
  • South Ashley from West Washington to West Liberty
  • West Washington from South First Street to South Ashley
  • Liberty from South First Street to State Street
  • State Street from East Liberty to South University
  • South University from State Street to East University
  • Observatory from Geddes to Washington Heights
  • East University across pedestrian mall to North University, crossing North University
  • Palmer Field path to Observatory
  • Observatory to Geddes
  • Geddes to East Huron River Drive
  • East Huron Drive to North Dixboro
  • North Dixboro to Gallup Park Pathway
  • Gallup Park Pathway through Mitchell Field to Fuller Road (on sidewalk)
  • Fuller Road sidewalk to East Medical Center Drive sidewalk to entrance​ of the Arb
  • Arb trails to Washington Heights

 

Liberty Street Bridge Closure

7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023

Both directions of Liberty at I-94 will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, ​Oct. 2, 2023 for the Michigant Department of Transportation (MDOT) and their contractor to continue repairs on the Liberty Street bridge. Vehicle traffic will be detoured via Utilize Wagner Rd., Jackson Rd., and W. Stadium Blvd.​
