Help make our parks more accessible
A group of master’s students at the University of Michigan School of Information are working as consultants with the Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation Unit to improve the way people find and access the city’s parks. You can help by signing up to participate in an interview that should take approximately 45-60 minutes. Your perspective on how you locate and navigate to the Ann Arbor parks can help us understand how we can create a better park experience for everyone! All participants will be compensated with a $25 prepaid debit card. If you would like to participate, visit the webpage for more information.

Drop in anytime between 1-2 p.m. to partake in the optional Wheeler Park history trivia challenge or to get started on your walk. Visit the webpage for parking details.

Saturday, March 20, Sylvan Park, noon-1 p.m.
Next week’s park walk will be located near one of the busiest areas of southeast Ann Arbor. Sylvan Park trails offer a short ½ mile loop through an oak hickory forest on the eastern side of the Swift Run Creek. Tucked in a neighborhood, this park also has a playground, tennis court and a picnic hill. This park highlights the necessity of green spaces for the human spirit in a busy urban area. The foot path is natural, so it may be muddy depending on the weather.

Staff encourages you to complete a survey after each walk for feedback. Please remember to wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart from others outside your household.
